23DSP has released four new FREE audio plugins (open beta stage) for macOS and Windows.
23DSP is a new developer from Italy with four forthcoming audio plugins currently in their open beta stage.
Marco, the man behind 23DSP, developed the plugins to simplify the mixing process and help creators focus on being creative.
The available plugins are:
- PumpComp – Synchronized Audio Compressor
- Respiro – Multiband Stereo Imager
- De – De-Box, De-Mud, De-Esser
- AAReverb – Automatic Adaptive Reverberation
Since these plugins are in their open beta stage, there are compatibility issues, and the developer has added some additional info on the plugin pages for macOS users.
PumpComp is a compressor taking a musical approach with tempo-synced dynamics. You can adjust Attack and Release parameters in note values, like 1/4, 1/8, 1/16, etc.
You can use the adjustable crossover to split the signal into two bands, switch between Stereo and Dual Mono modes, and use the Dry/Wet control for parallel compression.
Respiro offers four bands of precision control to shape your stereo image exactly as you like. The Low Band is mono to remove playback compatibility issues, and each other band features stereo Width and Gain controls.
De provides a simple interface where you have a de-esser, de-box, and de-mud tool in a single plugin. It’s a one-stop shop to bring clarity to your mix by removing harsh sibilance, muddy low end, and boxiness. De features adjustable Threshold and Range for precision processing.
AAReverb, like PurePump, takes a musical approach to processing. You can add a reverb that adapts to your track’s tempo and adjust the size using note and bar values. The result should be a reverb that sounds lush without losing the impact of essential transients or becoming too washy.
This open beta stage is a chance to preview things to come from 23DSP and help a new developer with honest feedback.
