An Inside Look at Tay Keith’s Homegoing Service

Music producer Tay Keith was laid to rest following a homegoing service in his hometown of Memphis, Tennessee.

On Tuesday (June 30), family and friends gathered at the Cannon Center in Memphis for a celebration-of-life service that honored his memory, accomplishments, and legacy. Attendees included several of Tay Keith’s former collaborators, with rappers Sexyy Red and Gunna, along with producers Murda Beatz and Turbo, paying their respects to the late hitmaker.

Tennessee State Representative Justin J. Pearson was among those who spoke at the funeral. Family members also shared heartfelt remarks, having previously acknowledged the 29-year-old’s passing after reports of his death surfaced on June 18.

“It’s with profound sadness that we confirm the passing of BryTavious ‘Tay Keith’ Chambers,” the statement, published on June 19, read. “BryTavious was a visionary producer, songwriter, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and cultural force whose work helped define the sound of a generation. From Memphis to the global stage, he shaped countless hit records and left a lasting mark on music and culture.”
