Anderson .Paak and Cordae go together like butter and toast. This has been apparent since the two joined forces on ‘Two Tens,’ and is a recipe that has only improved with the latest release.
The latest song is called ‘A Good Day,’ and begins by paying homage to the legendary ‘Lovely Day’ via masterful sample usage, and the iconic Ice Cube tune, ‘It Was A Good Day.’ This is only a taste of what’s yet to come– a joint album titled Heavy Is The Crown. The song has charisma, wit and spice in ample amounts, and is certainly a good way to hype the larger project.
The video is a visual treat in itself, evoking both nostalgia and humour from days past by tipping hat to the iconic comedy film Friday (which also starred Ice Cube). It is a playful film exploring boys turned men, chasing after their love interest. Check out the video and song below!
