Nutricost Apple Cider Vinegar Gummies as best apple cider vinegar gummies

Gummies containing apple cider vinegar (ACV) are dietary supplements with concentrated vinegar extracted from fermented apples, which may have certain health benefits. Acetic acid, a compound in vinegar, has been credited with an ability to improve gut health, control blood sugar levels, and potentially help aid in weight loss (though more research is needed).

Since drinking apple cider vinegar is as pleasant as one may imagine, people have recently turned toward a chewable version of the supplement, an increasingly popular medium for taking nearly any vitamin or mineral these days.

Nowadays, you can find ACV gummies mixed with different ingredients from various brands, making it hard to discern the best option. Lucky for you, we recruited our most trusted experts to find the best apple cider vinegar gummies on the market.

The Nutricost Apple Cider Vinegar gummies are affordable at around $0.11 per serving. There are 120 servings per bottle, and each serving provides 500 milligrams of apple cider vinegar. The gummies are gluten-free, non-GMO, and vegetarian-friendly.

We had to crown Nutricost as the best gummy overall due to the super reasonable price and a formulation that doesn’t skimp on the effective dose, regardless of the low cost. Caine Wilkes, OLY, CNC, USAW-L1, our very own Olympic weightlifting champ, gave Nutricost gummies a trial run.

Based on his feedback, we gave a 5 out of 5 for price, as 120 gummies at $13.99 per container comes out to less than $0.12 a serving for one gummy. That’s definitely on the lower end of the bracket, as most products are around $0.50 per serving.

Nutricost Apple Cider Vinegar gummies displayed.

As far as taste, Caine had this to say, “There is no real vinegar flavor in just one gummy, but the entire bottle of 120 smells super sour.” He goes on to comment about the actual flavor, “Sugar has been added, as well as pomegranate and beet root, which may improve flavor. In spite of the fact that it’s supposed to be apple-flavored, it doesn’t taste like apples. The taste is similar to a sweet fruit candy.” Factoring all of this in, our team rated the taste a 4 out of 5.

Like most customers, Caine didn’t experience any unwanted side effects from these gummies. “I didn’t have any negative effects,” Caine reports. “Although I haven’t noticed any positive effects either, despite customer reviews saying they are fairly effective.” So, we rated 4.5 out of 5 for side effects.

Olly Metabolism Gummy Rings are an affordable way to experience the potential benefits of apple cider vinegar. They may help with weight management, and the inclusion of vitamin B12 and chromium may help boost metabolism and support the production of cellular energy. However, they are lower in apple cider vinegar than many competitors.

Olly’s apple cider vinegar comes in the form of “gummy rings” that Olly claims “supports metabolism and lean body mass.” As a dietitian nutritionist, I have to say that’s a pretty big claim to put on a gummy vitamin made with fruit acid. That said, I also had Matt Dustin, CSCS, PN1-NC, one of our tester experts, weigh in on what’s actually in this supplement.

“It only contains 300 milligrams  of ACV per serving, along with both glucose syrup and added sugars.” Matt reports. Compared to other brands, Olly only contains the minimum amount of apple cider vinegar to provide benefits. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, however, we don’t love that it also contains three grams of added sugar per gummy. For that reason, we had to give the formulation a 1 out of 5.

Our tester holding Olly’s ACV gummies.

One thing that is unique about these gummies is they contain over 500% of your daily value of chromium, a mineral that plays a role in regulating blood sugar levels. Some studies have shown that taking chromium along with ACV can support better blood glucose control1, but more recent and extensive research is needed.

As far as taste, Matt gave the product a 3 out of 5 rating. “The taste is really strong and reminiscent of apple cider vinegar. When you open the jar, there is a strong aroma of vinegar, as well as a strong taste.” Matt describes. “These are probably good if you like vinegar, but they have a strong vinegary taste, despite the sugar.”

Olly Metabolism Gummies on tester’s table.

Matt also claims they aren’t the gummy you may have come to expect in the context of texture. “I found them to be a bit tougher than most gummies, but they aren’t too bad. Their texture reminds me of stale peach rings that are slightly dry and hard. I wouldn’t describe them as hard and rigid, but I wouldn’t describe them as soft, enjoyable gummies, either.” So, we also gave a 3 out of 5 rating for texture.

The Goli Apple Cider Vinegar Gummies contain 1,000 milligrams of apple cider vinegar per serving. There are no artificial colorings, and the gummies are gluten-free, vegan-friendly, and non-GMO. However, there are 4 grams of added sugar per serving, which can add up if you take multiple servings per day as recommended on the label.

Goli is America’s #1 apple cider vinegar vitamin brand and the first of its kind, according to Goli Nutrition. We had our very own Amanda Dvorak, ISSA-CPT, ISSA-CNC, try them out and report back and we’re going to start with her take on the formulation.

Tester holding Goli Apple Cider Vinegar gummies.

These gummies contain one gram of ACV and Vitamin B12, which is a critical nutrient for those on vegan diets, as it’s a vitamin that can only be found in animal products. Nevertheless, we still rated these a 3 out of 5 for formulation, partly due to the recommended use guidelines listed on the label.

When it comes to taste, though, Amanda was a little less than thrilled. After a few test runs, she had to rate the flavor a 2 out of 5.

“These are….not good. Regardless of what fruit powders or flavors are in it, they don’t seem to be able to cover up the vinegar taste.” Amanda reports, she also doesn’t agree with the Amazon reviews. “The taste seems to be popular with Amazon customers, but I’m not sure why. There is a weird taste to them, like eating a salad that has just been soaked in vinegar-based salad dressing. The burn is a bit too strong, to be honest.”

“Each serving contains 1000 mg of ACV and four grams of sugar. There is also a suggestion on the label of taking one to two gummies, three times a day, so just by taking these the way that’s suggested, you’ll have consumed 24 g of sugar.” Amanda points out. Unfortunately, that’s a little more sugar than we would like to see with a supplement.

Goli Apple Cider Vinegar gummies compared to a nickel.

These did earn a 5 out of 5 for texture, though. “There’s nothing wrong with the texture, I’ll give them that. Their main advantage is that they are easy to chew, despite having a very strong vinegar flavor.” Amanda says. “My previous experience with gummy supplements is similar to this one. It only needs to be chewed for a few seconds before it can be swallowed.”

From a dietitian’s perspective, the formulation for these gummies is pretty decent. I like the 500 milligrams of apple cider vinegar extract. Plus, the four grams of dietary fiber is pretty awesome, actually. However, the combination of fiber and sugar alcohols can cause some serious GI symptoms if you’re not careful or have a sensitive stomach. I’d give the formulation a 3.5 out of 5.

We also turned to  Matt Schickling, GGR editorial member, who personally tested Bulletproof’s gummies. Based on his experience, he rated a 4 out of 5 for taste and 3.5 out of 5 for texture. “Though tasty, these don’t really taste like apples, or like anything natural. It’s like describing the flavor of an apple to someone who has never tasted a real one before,” Matt describes.

He also rated the taste a 4 out of 5. “As far as taste is concerned, it probably falls more on the berry side of the spectrum. Neither too sweet nor too sugary,” Matt describes. “Opening the lid reveals a faint vinegary bitterness, but it does not appear in the taste. When it comes to supplements, these are pretty good to great in terms of taste.”

Bulletproof does have a great return policy, which is why we rated customer service a 4 out of 5. “After receiving an order, the customer can return it for a refund within 30 days. The process was easy for some customers, who commented in reviews about how easy it was,” Matt says. “There is little detail about return policies, but it seems like the policy is a little flexible.”

The BUBS Naturals Apple Cider Vinegar gummies contain 1,000 milligrams of apple cider vinegar per serving, which may help with weight management, immune and digestive health, and muscle recovery. Costing around $0.60 per serving, these are an affordable alternative to some of the more expensive ACV gummies on the market. However, they do contain 5 grams of added sugars and contain cane sugar, which some may prefer to avoid if they are watching their sugar intake.

Bubs boasts their gummies are made from the apple cider vinegar liquid, rather than from a powdered form. While research is limited on whether one form is superior to the other, the good news is that Bubs is still reasonably priced either way.

Having Ben Emminger, NASM-CNC, NASM-CSNC, try Bubs out, we asked him what he thought. Ben started out by rating the formulation a 3 out of 5. “The serving contains 1,000 milligrams of apple cider vinegar, which is a nice bonus,” Ben highlights. “Since all of the sugar in this makeup has been added (four grams), I’m reluctant to rate this higher than the median. Even so, this product is non-GMO, gluten-free, and dairy-free.”

That said, Ben didn’t experience any bad side effects while taking Bubs. In fact, he noticed some improvements in his gut health. “Only a few weeks into taking these gummies, I’ve witnessed a reduction in stomach rumbles and a sense of being able to digest my regular meals more easily,” Ben reports.

“Energy levels have improved, too, although I’m not sure whether it’s related to the ACV gummies or other sleep supplements I’m testing simultaneously. BUBS Naturals has also received plenty of 5-star reviews, with many users praising the product’s effectiveness and ease of use.” WIth that, we rated 5 out of 5 for side effects.

Tester holding Bub’s Naturals ACV gummies next to a quarter.

Ben also enjoyed the taste and rated BUBS a 4.5 out of 5 in that category. “While the vinegar has a little bitterness, I would compare it to the taste of a ripe, crisp apple instead of a shot of the liquid. Additionally, adding sugars to these gummies (although a negative in terms of formulation) gives them a sweet flavor that really adds zest to my morning.”

Stephen Sheehan tried out WellPath gummies and thought they were really tasty. That is why we named them as the best tasting of all the gummies we tried; he rated the taste and texture as 4.5 out of 5 and 5 out of 5, respectively.

WellPath Apple Cider Vinegar gummies on tester’s table.

“It wasn’t particularly sweet or fruity, but I was pleasantly surprised that the vinegar flavor wasn’t noticeable either,” says Stephen. “These are something I would be happy to take on a daily basis.”

He goes on to rave about the texture. “They are very easy to chew and swallow and, in my opinion, are comparable to fruit snacks or softer Sour Patch kids, one of my favorites of all time. As a whole, the texture is very nice and makes chewing very enjoyable.”

Our tester holding Nature’s Path gummies.

We had Matt Dustin, CSCS, PN1-NC give them a try and he agrees on the awesome pricing, rating it a 5 out of 5. “It’s a great value at just $9.99 for 25 servings, which works out to $0.40 per serving,” Matt says. “Despite having 600 milligrams of apple cider vinegar per serving, it does contain four grams of added sugars, including glucose syrup and sugar,” Matt adds. Thus, we gave a 3 out of 5 for formulation.

All of that sugar didn’t help out the taste too much, as Matt awarded a 3 out of 5 in that category. “Although I find them difficult to eat due to the strong vinegar taste, my girlfriend definitely enjoys them,” Matt reports. “It is likely that you will enjoy these if you like the taste of apple cider vinegar! It doesn’t really mask the vinegar taste at all since the gummies are apple-flavored, but it is certainly sweeter.”

Nature’s Path ACV gummies on table.

Despite all of this, he rated a 5 out of 5 for side effects. “No side effects were noticed by me, and none were mentioned in reviews either,” Matt confirms. So it looks like if you don’t mind a bit of added sugar, Nature’s Path is a decent way to try these gummies without breaking the bank.

How We Picked and Tested the Best Apple Cider Vinegar Gummies

Without knowing what to look for, it can be difficult to pick out the best brands of ACV gummies. So, we compiled our list based on some of the following criteria:

Sugar and Sweeteners

One of the blessings and curses of taking gummies as a supplement, rather than powder and pills, is they are way more pleasant to integrate into our daily routine. However, this is also because they are often sweetened with sugars or artificial sweeteners. We did our best to choose brands that kept these additives to a minimum to support overall health.

RELATED: The Best Beet Root Powders of 2025

Price

Like any daily habit, cost is always a factor. That said, you never want to sacrifice value, or a proper dosage, so for a lower price. So, we chose brands that had a fair balance of both. For the most part, gummies that cost less than $0.50 per serving were a winner.

Diet Restrictions

We recognize that people adhere to different diet choices depending on their fitness goals. But they also may avoid certain foods or ingredients due to allergies, morals, or religious beliefs. So, we selected a variety of brands that are appropriate for people on low carb and vegan diets, as well as those with certain allergies.

Benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar Gummies

So, what’s all of this fuss about anyway? Why should you be looking for ACV gummies in the first place? To be frank, the benefits of apple cider vinegar are mostly overhyped, but there is some research worth looking into.

More Tolerable Than Liquid Vinegar

The most obvious of the benefits of apple cider vinegar gummies is that they are way more delicious than a spoonful of vinegar daily. “The taste and acidity of liquid apple cider vinegar don’t appeal to everyone, so ACV gummies are a good alternative.” Dr. Raj Dasgupta, MD, FACP, FCCP, FAASM, GGR’s Chief Medical Advisor says.

“Additionally, they are gentler on your teeth and stomach. As long as the gummies contain a sufficient amount of acetic acid, they both offer the same potential benefits, such as blood sugar control or weight management,” Dr. Dasgupta continues. “It’s important to keep in mind, though, that some gummies may be more diluted than the liquid in some cases.”

Supports Control of Blood Sugar Levels

In a clinical trial done on individuals with type 2 diabetes and prediabetes, apple cider vinegar has been shown to help control blood glucose after meals3. A meta-analysis of nearly 20 studies also came to this conclusion and even found that those with type 2 diabetes saw a decrease in the bad cholesterol levels of those who supplemented4

Tester holding bottle of Nutricost ACV gummies.

That said, scientists still think more research is needed as all of these studies are too small to make definitive health claims about the effect of apple cider vinegar on blood glucose. It’s also likely counterintuitive to consume gummies high in added sugar if blood glucose control is the desired benefit.

May Help Control Bad Cholesterol Levels

Recent research has suggested that supplementing with apple cider vinegar can help support heart health, specifically by lowering blood pressure and reducing total cholesterol through antioxidant activity6. However, most of these studies are misinterpreted as they were done on those with diabetes.

When the same effect on heart health was explored in healthy individuals, the health benefits weren’t nearly as significant. Additionally, no studies have been done exploring this effect using the chewable version of apple cider vinegar in the form of gummies.

May Help With Weight Loss

Apple cider vinegar has been widely used for weight management with some swearing by its ability to lower body weight with daily supplementation. Most of the beneficial effects on hunger control was due to taking vinegar on an empty stomach making people too nauseous7 to eat. Even then, the loss of body weight wasn’t significant enough to justify daily doses of vinegar.

Potential Side Effects

Apple cider vinegar is highly acidic, so it’s one of those supplements you want to be more careful with than others. The liquid version has been known to wear off the enamel of teeth and cause heartburn when used in excess, but our testers didn’t experience side effects nearly this intense while trying the gummies.

“Anyone with acid reflux, ulcers, or low potassium should be cautious or avoid them altogether,” Dr. Raj Dasgupta warns. “Also, if you have diabetes or are on medication for blood sugar, check with your doctor first—ACV can affect your glucose levels a bit.” You also want to check with your healthcare provider for medical advice if you take diuretics.

Bub’s Naturals gummies on tester’s table.

There are also simply better options for gut health if that’s the main reason you’re looking into apple cider vinegar gummies. “If you’re after similar perks, fiber supplements (like psyllium) can be great for digestion and blood sugar,” Dasgupta continues. “You might also try adding more fermented foods like sauerkraut or yogurt to your diet, which give you gut health benefits without the acidity of ACV.”

How Much Apple Cider Vinegar Should I Take Per Day?

“Most people do well with a dose that’s equal to about 1–2 tablespoons of liquid ACV a day, which usually translates to 2–4 gummies depending on the brand,” says Dr. Dasgupta. “It’s best to stick with what’s listed on the label and not go overboard—more isn’t always better when it comes to supplements.”

However, it can be hard to translate the amount of liquid vinegar to what’s in the gummies. To make it simpler, it’s good to know that studies on liquid apple cider vinegar show that 15-20 mL, which equals about 5% of acetic acid, is enough to provide beneficial effects.

RELATED: What Are Probiotics?

Most apple cider vinegar gummies contain the equivalent of 500 milligrams of apple cider vinegar per serving, around 5% of which is acetic acid. So, as long as one serving of your selected gummy contains at least 500 milligrams, you’ve got a solid product.

Buying Guide: What to Look for in Apple Cider Vinegar Gummies

Here are a few things you should look for on your labels before grabbing your next bottle of apple cider vinegar gummies.

Proper Dosages

Probably the most important thing to look at is the content of actual apple cider vinegar in your gummies. Eating chewable apple candy sounds fun, but it’s just a waste of money (and calories), if there aren’t at least 500 milligrams of apple cider vinegar in each serving. This is how much is required to actually see any of the purported beneficial effects.

Ingredients List

You don’t want to go with a brand that has too many extra ingredients, unless they are beneficial minerals like magnesium or even synergistic ingredients like digestive enzymes and probiotics. What you really want to avoid is ingredient lists full of additives and artificial ingredients, the most common being artificially flavored gummies.
