BOOM Library has released StereoLab, an all-in-one stereo imaging plugin for macOS and Windows and it is free for a limited time.
BOOM Library is giving away 10,000 copies of StereoLab to celebrate the new release, but you’ll have to act fast if you want to pick it up for free.
The offer ends on October 20, 2024, and if you’re among the first 10,000 customers, you’ll save yourself a tidy sum.
Once the offer ends, StereoLab will return to the regular price of $89.

Whether venturing into experimental sound design or simply looking to ensure the same listening experience across all playback devices, manipulating the stereo image yields unlimited potential.
Throughout 2024, we’ve seen several freebies offering stereo imaging effects, like the Dimension Chorus stereo expander and White Elephant Audio’s MONSTR stereo width plugin.
StereoLab aims to unlock that potential in a single source for sound designers, music producers, and engineers.
The new plugin features four distinct stereophonic modules: Widen, Stereo, M/S, and Width.
You can arrange the modules in any order within the effects chain.
The Widen module generates a side signal from any source without altering the mid signal. The M/S (Mid/Side) module allows you to create motion and movement in your sound by manipulating the mid and side elements.
When it comes to adding movement in media composition, there are a few gimmicky but effective tricks, like panning a sound to mirror the movement of an on-screen object (As cheesy and obvious as it seems, I still like that method – it works).
Adding movement to an ambient soundscape creates a real sense of space and depth, which also applies to sound design and production in commercial music genres.
The Stereo module offers independent left/right panning, delay, and balance control.
The versatile Width module allows you to adjust the low and high-frequency width independently with a band splitter.
After the effects chain, you’ll see a vectorscope, which provides precise visual feedback on StereoLab’s effect on your sound.
Whether you’re crafting custom sounds, unique synth patches, creative vocal effects, or immersive audio experiences, StereoLab can make your life easier.
