Cymatics will release Pandora, a virtual instrument plugin, and the Shrine R&B Collection sound library on November 26th. You can sign up today to claim your free copy.
So, Cymatics is gearing up for Black Friday with a pretty cool giveaway. You can claim their upcoming instrument plugin, Pandora, and a new sound library for free by joining their Black Friday VIP list.
That said, the odd part is that you need to submit your name, email, and phone number to participate. I’m used to email-gated freebies, but asking for a phone number is a bit out of the ordinary, so just keep that in mind before you jump in.
Cymatics Pandora
Pandora is still unreleased, so all we have to go on is a screenshot and a short description. From what I can see, it looks like a sample-based instrument rather than a traditional synth.
The layout looks pretty cool and very much geared toward quick workflow. The preset browser takes up the left side of the interface, and the FX section on the right seems like the heart of the instrument.
My guess is that Cymatics wants this one to be accessible to producers who prefer flipping through polished presets instead of building patches from scratch.
Once you load a preset, you get a handful of macro-style controls to shape the sound. You can tweak the attack and release envelopes and then dive into a lineup of effects: a filter, wobble effect, chorus, gate, delay, reverb, stereo width, tone, saturation, and basic volume and pan adjustments.
It’s a solid FX suite for quickly refining a sound without touching anything too technical. Whether Pandora hides deeper options under the hood is still unclear to me, but from the early preview, it seems more like a streamlined workstation instrument than a full-blown synth.
Cymatics Shrine R&B Collection
Pandora isn’t the only freebie they’re pushing this Black Friday. Cymatics is also giving away the Shrine R&B Collection. It’s a large 5.5GB+ sample pack focused on modern R&B production.
As for claiming the pack for free, it’s the same deal as Pandora: sign up with your name, email, and phone number now, and you’ll receive the download on November 26th.
If you produce R&B, Shrine actually looks like a worthwhile download for sure.
Cymatics Voxity
Before wrapping up, there’s another small piece of news: some of our readers spotted a free download for Cymatics Voxity, a vocal-processing multi-effect that seems to be floating around their site right now.
It appears to include a compressor, enhancer, EQ, chorus, reverb, and a few other tools for cleaning up and adding character to vocals. I don’t know how long it’ll stay free, so grab it while you can.
Pandora and Shrine will be available on macOS and Windows, and since Pandora is a plugin, expect standard formats like VST3 and AU. Shrine is a standard sample pack, so you can load it in any DAW or sampler.
