Doe Boy showed up for East Cleveland’s youth in a major way, bringing Cleveland Browns players to surprise the Chiefs with fresh gear and real talk about chasing dreams.
According to News 5 Cleveland, the event showed what happens when artists and athletes use their platform to invest in their community.
The rapper and songwriter orchestrated it all at Martin Luther King Jr. Civic Center on Friday, turning what started as a simple request into something much bigger than anyone expected.
Poohgutta William Johnson reached out to Doe Boy about a year and a half ago and asked if he could help the Chiefs get new football equipment.

Instead of just throwing money at it, Doe Boy went all in. He connected with Hellstar, one of the world’s biggest urban clothing brands, and got the brand’s founder, Seanie, to co-sign the vision.
“I told him my vision, and he was like I’m going to make sure it happens for you,” Doe Boy explained. The wait was worth it.
When the gear finally arrived, Doe Boy brought the heat. He showed up with Cleveland Browns Quarterback Deshaun Watson, Wide Receiver KC Concepcion, and Defensive End Alex Wright. Watson kept it real with the kids, telling them straight up that belief and persistence matter.
“I just want to be able to tell these kids that they can dream about and do whatever they want to. You know, you just have to believe and keep pushing forward,” Watson said.
