Druski Promises Big Surprises at 2026 BET Awards

Druski Promises Big Surprises at 2026 BET Awards

Internet comedian turned household name Druski is set to host the upcoming 2026 BET Awards this coming Sunday (June 28) at Los Angeles’ Peacock Theater. The 31-year-old is set to make history as the youngest host of the prestigious award show.

“Seriously, I grew up watching the BET Awards,” he tells VIBE. “It was one of those things that you watch with your family. Everyone comes around, and you’re trying to see what happens, how funny the host is, and the performances.”

Druski first started making a name for himself in 2017 when he introduced online audiences to hilarious characters and sketches based on his experiences growing up in the Atlanta metro area. It wasn’t long until he found himself making cameos in music videos with Drake, touring with J. Cole, and starring in movies.

The multifaceted talent continues to reach new heights now that comedy legends like Kevin Hart, Jamie Foxx, Chris Rock, and Martin Lawrence have all given Druski their official co-sign. All have also assisted him in promo clips for the upcoming award show.

Druski also promised some unbelievable surprise performers during Culture’s Biggest Night. While he was barred from spilling the beans during our interview, the comedian hinted at some big names hitting the stage in tribute to Lauryn Hill, who will receive the inaugural Living Legend Icon Award. “There are a lot of huge surprises. I want to say it really badly,” he says excitedly. “But very big names are going to be in the building that night, legends and new artists that are going to honor her. It’s going to be really good.”

For him, the BET Awards are important to the community, and he’s honored to be hosting the culture’s biggest night. “BET represents Black culture and [in the biggest way] we’re able to honor our people together, and show how powerful and successful we can be,” says Druski. “I think this is the biggest stage to be able to show that.”

The BET Awards 2026 airs on Sunday, June 28, at 8 p.m. ET/PT and simulcast across BET HER, CMT, LOGO, MTV, MTV2, Nickelodeon, Paramount, Pop, VH1, Comedy Central, and TV Land.
