Get over 80% off reverbs from SSL and Eventide at Plugin Boutique

For a limited time, Plugin Boutique is offering massive discounts (80%) on two premium reverb plugins: FlexVerb and ShimmerVerb.

These offers end on February 28, 2026.

I picked up SSL Native FlexVerb a few years ago, during another promotion, and I’m glad that I did.

It’s one of a select few SSL plugins I’ve purchased outside a previous subscription plan, and although expensive, it’s worth buying if you can get the right discount.

Right now, Plugin Boutique is offering 88% off, which means you can buy FlexVerb for £15, rather than £133, which is an absolute steal.

As the name suggests, this plugin is all about flexibility.

You have four distinct reverb algorithms: Room, Hall, Plate, and Chamber.

Additionally, you can adjust early and late reflection types independently, which is a lovely feature.

Getting beyond the basic reverb functions, you can further shape the reverb with a six-band EQ and position it perfectly with a built-in compressor.

FlexVerb does a lot, but it’s easy to get around, and it’s ideal for natural or ethereal-sounding reverbs.

You can also create far less natural effects with the infinite reverb and reverb tail kill switches.

Eventide’s ShimmerVerb is something different, offering a more characterful effect.

ShimmerVerb takes a classic studio technique of using pitch shifting hardware with reverb to create a shimmering effect, and bundles it in one simple plugin.

The plugin allows you to pitch-shift two octaves up and two octaves down.

You can pitch shift in perfect intervals or microtune.

Describing ShimmerVerb as a reverb with parallel pitch shifters on the reverb tail is fine, but it doesn’t do the plugin justice.

That sounds like a nice reverb, and just enough movement on the tail to create a subtle shimmer, and while it does that, it does much more, too.

I love this plugin on a dry piano, especially with the pitch shifts slightly delayed. You get a really cinematic effect that’s versatile because it’s not overly dreamy or cloudy.

You can also create lovely ethereal textures by pushing the Mix control all the way up.

Building harmony in perfect fourths or fifths is an age-old and powerful technique, and I love adding those intervals to the reverb tail, more so than bland octaves or anything too dissonant.

You can control which frequencies are fed back, and adjust the amount of the delayed signal that’s fed back into the reverb input.

Two features stand out for more dramatic effects: Ribbon and Hotswitch.

The Ribbon feature lets you adjust multiple parameters simultaneously.

Hotswitch is almost like another layer within any preset; you can switch to a different set of parameters within one preset.

You can get 81% off ShimmerVerb, taking it from £94, down to £17.

At under £20 each, both of these plugins are a bargain, but if they aren’t for you, check out Mode Audio’s Airspace hybrid reverb/delay plugin.
