West Midlands-based emcee Hazz & emcee Catsmoke join forces on their new six-track 360 DEGREES EP, via Nyark Music
This gritty, no-holds-barred project brings together Hazz’s raw, undiluted style and Catsmoke’s cinematic, raw portrayal of street life, ambition, and survival. Fans of Street Rap, UK Underground Sounds, and unfiltered Storytelling will find themselves captivated by the unapologetic energy of this project. From start to finish, it impresses with some outstanding production that is best described as refined and captivating. Hazz has already dropped a six-track EP this year called ‘Slow Burnin’ and he’s working hard on his third album ‘Climb The Ladder’, which is set to drop in June. Catsmoke has also been busy, supporting Rome Streetz on his recent UK date in Nottingham and working on his solo release for Nyark called ‘Smoke Break’, which is also set to be released in June. Both artists have a very unique sound, and together they complement each other throughout this release. The synergy between the two artists creates an EP that feels raw, real, and undeniably captivating.
BrimBeatz gets the proceedings underway with the anthemic ‘Out The Blue’, which is also the first music video to drop from this project. London artists Eyez Kold and Airklipz jump on board for the EP’s second track, which resonates with its off-kilter vibe and heavy double bass riff. Nyark’s favourite Thugs Bunny gives up the project’s third track ‘One Day’ which sees Hazz & Catsmoke go hard. Nyark’s first-ever signing, Wild Samson, features on ‘It’s A Mad Mess’, the first of two beats from Midas Cash, which is followed by the title track and the project’s second music video ‘360 Degrees’, which is produced by BrimBeatz. The last track, ‘Question Everything’, produced by Midas Cash, is the project’s deepest cut and real food for thought, rounding up such a great body of work. “360 Degrees” reflects the hustle and the struggle of UK street life with precision, hitting lyricism that paints vivid pictures of the grind, ambition, and the harsh realities of life in the urban landscape.
