Impact Soundworks updates Shreddage Amp XTC & Venom

Impact Soundworks has announced the release of an update to its Shreddage series amplifier effect plugins.

Shreddage Amp XTC is designed to bring legendary, high-end boutique tone of the Bogner Ecstacy, while Shreddage Amp Venom painstakingly models every aspect of the cult classic Framus Cobra.

Changes in Shreddage Amp XTC v1.4.0 / Venom v1.1.0

  • 10-band equalizer (EQ) at the end of the signal chain to shape your guitar tone exactly how you want.
  • Convenient in-app tuner.
  • Input and Output meters, making it easier to track your levels throughout the signal path.
  • Updated wet effects ‘mix’ parameters and signal balance, making each effect more dynamic and easier to control.
  • Deputy Pedal: Based on the popular Marshall Guv’nor, accurately recreating the fantastic Plexi “amp-in-a-box” sound of the original, ideal for crunch or lead tones.
  • Fubar Pedal: An extreme gated germanium fuzz pedal that might go too far, ideal for experimental music or anything that needs a unique sound. Noisy, full of artifacts, in a way that a traditional pedal would never do.

XTC also includes all-new factory presets based on Impact Soundworks’ updated custom Friedman 4×12 IR (impulse response) set. The presets were rebuilt from the ground up for both blue and red channels, and include iconic tones the original amp was used in creating, from Alice In Chains to Joe Bonamassa and Mark Tremonti.

Available for Windows and Mac in VST/VST3, AU, AAX and CLAP formats, the plugins are available to purchase for $79 USD each. The update is free for existing users.
