Jay-Z is all set to headline the 2027 Super Bowl Halftime show, it looks like.
After some reports came out on Tuesday morning that he will be taking the stage, a music industry with knowledge has confirmed to Deadline about the same. The 30th anniversary of his debut album Reasonable Doubt and the 25th anniversary of his groundbreaking album The Blueprint have caused the rap artist and 25-time Grammy winner to make headlines while participating in the global Jay-Z 30 Tour concerts. As part of those achievements, an eight-episode documentary series about Jay-Z’s career called Jay-Z in 8, which was produced in collaboration with uber-producer Rick Rubin, debuted on HBO Max and HBO last month.
This 2027 Super Bowl is set for February 14 at SoFi, the Inglewood venue where Jay-Z is playing two shows this Friday and Saturday so it’s perfect practice place for him.
It won’t be a bad guess that several high profile artists will join him on stage as guests during his set but of course, most of those names will be a secret till the show.
Stay tuned for the official announcement on Jay-Z’s headline show.
