Jermaine Dupri Brings ‘Magic City: An American Fantasy’ Screening To Atlanta


On a Magic City Monday (Aug 11), Jermaine Dupri brought a screening of the documentary on the famed strip club to Atlanta, where it all went down. Along with co-executive producers Cole Brown and Jami Gertz, the event brought some of the city’s most influential figures to get an exclusive look at Magic City: An American Fantasy. Guests included Michael “Mr. Magic” Barney, Young Dro, Killer Mike, 2 Chainz, and more.

Magic City: An American Fantasy is directed by Charles Todd and premiered to critical acclaim at the 2024 SXSW Festival. The work is set to debut on STARZ on Friday (Aug. 15) at 10 p.m. ET/PT in the U.S., after the season finale of BMF. 

Magic City: An American Fantasy is a riveting behind-the-curtain look at one of the most unique places in Black culture,” detailed Kathryn Busby, President of Original Programming at STARZ, in a statement. “The docuseries’ unprecedented insider access and history unveiled from those who built its empire is a perfect complement to STARZ’s slate of adult, culture-driving shows.”
