Warner Music Group has promoted Jieun Kim to the role of President of Warner Music Korea.
Based in Seoul, Kim will spearhead the company’s operations and strategic expansion within the world’s seventh-largest recorded music market.
Recorded Music trade revenues in the market grew 1.7% YoY to USD $736 million in 2025 according to IFPI‘s Global Music report.
She reports directly to Lo-Ting Fai, known as Lofai, President, Warner Music APAC.
Kim transitions into the Presidency following “a highly successful three-year tenure as CFO of Warner Music Korea,” WMG said on Friday (May 8).
The company added that the exec has been a “key member of the local leadership team, fostering deep relationships with local partners”.
Kim joined the company in 2023, bringing expertise from her previous senior finance and retail operations leadership roles at luxury leader Tiffany & Co.
WMG said that this appointment signals “a bold new chapter for Warner Music in Korea” as the company accelerates its local investment.
The announcement noted that Warner Music in Korea is “working with exciting artists from a range of genres in pioneering new ways that support their creative autonomy while offering them global reach”.
WMG added: “Under Kim’s leadership, Warner Music Korea will further integrate with WMG’s enhanced regional APAC infrastructure and global specialist network to amplify Korean talent through groundbreaking cross-cultural collaborations and innovative international marketing campaigns.”

Lofai was appointed as President of Warner Music APAC in August 2025, joining from telecoms group PCCW, where he served as CEO of entertainment subsidiary MakerVille and COO of regional streaming platform Viu.
Kim‘s promotion comes as Warner Music has stepped up its activity in South Korea in recent months.
In March, WMG struck a partnership with South Korean management firm MAINSTREAM, the company behind artists Lee Young Ji and Kik5o.
