Ye (formerly known as Kanye West) is not new to accolades in music by any means. The chart topping artist has given multiple hit singles and albums to his fans, and the streak has only continued.
However, with hits like Graduation and Watch The Throne under his belt, Kanye still feels way better about the success of his latest work. Speaking on the success of Bully, Kanye addressed fans present at the Urban One Summit and expressed his gratitude.
Larry Jackson sat on stage speaking to the fans and called Kanye on his phone (who was not physically present at the venue) and spoke about the success of ‘Preacher Man’ and ‘Father’ (both songs that are part of Bully), before letting Kanye take over.
Kanye spoke to the crowd through the phone speaker, into the microphone held by Larry, and expressed to fans the fact that the success of this album means more to him than other number 1’s he has given the industry before this.
He spoke about how he’d gone through a bad mental health episode that was being spoken about globally and that this moment is a testament to people with mental health crises still being able to find success & acceptance. Check out the clip below!
