KV331 Audio is giving away its flagship synth app, SynthMaster 2 for iPad, for a limited time.
The SynthMaster 2 app typically costs $19.99 on the Apple App Store, but you can download it for free until November 17, 2025.
SynthMaster, in its various forms, is a synth that might still be somewhat underrated, and that feels like a strange thing to say.

SynthMaster has won multiple awards, and countless reviews and testimonials will tell you it could be the only synth you’ll ever need. But on a day-to-day conversational level, I’m not sure SynthMaster gets the love it deserves.
In any case, if you’re new to SynthMaster or, like me, haven’t tried it out on iPad, this is your chance to grab it for free.
SynthMaster famously combines the immediacy of a massive preset library with deep flexibility, and SynthMaster 2 for iPad follows that trend with 1000 factory presets.
If you want even more, you can grab a 60% discount on expansion banks during this promotion.
You can browse presets by various tags, so despite the large number of sounds, it’s pretty easy to find what you need.

If you want to go deeper than the preset library, everything starts with four oscillator modes: Basic, Additive, Wavetable, and Vector.
Basic mode features single-cycle waveforms/samples, with up to eight voices per oscillator with the Unison function.
Additive mode allows you to stack up to eight basic oscillators, Wavetable mode lets the oscillator play wavetables with up to 256 frames, and Vector mode mixes four basic oscillators in two dimensions.
SynthMaster 2 offers six filter categories: Digital, VAnalog, State Variable, Ladder, Diode Ladder, and Bite.
The depth and flexibility of instruments we can access on the go continue to improve, and if you want to add to your iPad collection, check out Studiologic’s free Numa Player 2, too.
But SynthMaster definitely stands out for its flexibility and its appeal to sound designers.
In addition to the above features, the app offers many modulation options, including LFOs, Sequencers, Keyscalers, ADSR and MSEG Envelopes, Macros, and more.
You can import wave files to create truly unique sounds.
There’s also a 32-step arp/sequencer, and built-in effects with five insert FX slots.
It’s worth noting that SynthMaster 3 Player is free for macOS and Windows, and it offers the same presets with fewer adjustable parameters.
Don’t forget there are still a few days left to grab UAD’s Galaxy Tape Echo free with any purchase at Plugin Boutique (the offer ends on November 14, 2025).
