dBdone has announced the release of a texture layering plugin co-created with musician, producer, and digital creator TAETRO.
Triggered by your audio’s dynamics, Pentimento overlays textures such as atmospheres, objects, noise that move with every kick, snare, and melody, shaping textures in real-time without MIDI or programming.
PENTIMENTO allows you to overlay a texture (or any sample really) on top of your sounds. Noise, atmospheres, field recordings all can be layered on top of drums or instruments. The texture layer will respond to your sound in real time, and there are a number of tools for shaping the overlay sound from right inside the plugin. With the full version, you get the full collection of launch samples, as well as the ability to add your own samples.
Pentimento features
- Envelope-triggered sound layering.
- 50 sounds by TAETRO (10 Places, 30 Textures, 10 Noise).
- Upload unlimited custom sounds (full version).
- Envelope, filter, and FX controls.
- Build and share custom packs.
Available in VST3, AU and AAX plugin formats for Windows and Mac, Pentimento is priced $49 USD.
A free version provides access to all three TAETRO packs with a limited selection of sounds from each pack. Users get full access to envelope controls (attack, hold, decay, release), filters (high-pass and low-pass), and both Movement FX and Shaper FX macro controls.
