Lotus Sound Audio releases White Chamber Mk3, a FREE analog-style delay plugin for macOS and Windows
White Chamber Mk3 picks up where the previous release left off, with a few noteworthy upgrades.
If you’re new to Lotus Sound Audio, you can check out some of the Swiss-based developer’s previous releases, like Silver Fox Mk2, LA2-Fox, and LS-1173.
As you can see from those plugin names, Lotus Sound Audio has a passion for vintage emulations.
White Chamber emulates analog delay with a clarity that’s inspired by the caves, mountains, and flowing water of Switzerland’s picturesque landscapes.
Anyone familiar with White Chamber Mk2 will know the minimalist 500-Series-style interface has just four controls: Delay, Feedback, Filter, and Mix.
White Chamber Mk3 features all of the above, with newly added Drive and Output controls.
The Output control lets you compensate for any lost volume and intensity directly in the plugin, which is a very handy addition.
The Drive control is a more interesting addition because it widens the creative potential of this delay.
Obviously, too much drive with lots of delay and feedback isn’t typically the best recipe, unless you’re building a cluster of sound heading towards a drop or cinematic cue.
However, some harmonic saturation adds another layer to the effect, along with warmth or even a little grit, without losing the space and depth provided by the delay.
In addition to the new controls, White Chamber Mk3 benefits from the developer’s dedication to improving its core engine for improved performance.
White Chamber Mk3 maintains the 500-Series-style interface, which is resizable from 70% to 200%.
The plugin also offers a decent selection of factory presets for guitars, vocals, keyboards, and more.
Lotus Sound Audio developed the original White Chamber plugin primarily with acoustic and electric guitars in mind, but it works well on vocals, keyboards, and percussion. The new version, with its Drive feature, builds on that versatility while maintaining the same simple workflow.
White Chamber Mk3 is available in AU and VST3 formats for macOS and Windows. You can download the RAR/ZIP files directly from the developer’s Patreon (you don’t have to be a member to download the plugin, but the developer welcomes all support).
