Today is Friday, which means there are a ton of new releases to look forward to from some of your favorite Hip-Hop artists. To help you unwind and enjoy the weekend, check out VIBE’s picks of songs and albums you should hear and add to your soundtrack of weekend festivities.
Clipse – ‘Let God Sort Em Out’
Image Credit: © 2025 Clipse, under exclusive license to Roc Nation Distribution Let God Sort Em Out is more than a comeback—it’s a cultural moment, and the Clipse deliver with the kind of precision and weight that only time-hardened legends can.
From the searing “Chains & Whips” featuring Kendrick Lamar—whose verse is already a strong contender for the year’s best—to the lush, layered “P.O.V.” with Tyler, the Creator, every track is crafted with intent. “So Be It” set the tone, but the full project hits with even more impact.
“Inglorious Bastards” sees three-fourths of the Re-Up Gang back in action, with Ab-Liva reminding us why his pen still cuts deep. The title track, “Let God Sort Em Out/Chandeliers,” featuring Nas, is a haunting high point—equal parts scripture and street scripture.
What’s been labeled “inappropriate” plays like high art here, daring and necessary. The Clipse didn’t just meet the moment—they bent it to their will. – Preezy Brown
Skepta – “Friendly Fire”
Image Credit: ℗ 2025 Big Smoke Records under exclusive licence to Epic Records, a division of Sony Music Entertainment UK Limited Skepta fires off with intent on “Friendly Fire,” a track he’d been teasing in the lead-up to his transatlantic challenge—U.K. vs. U.S.A. in a lyrical showdown.
Opening with a cheeky jab at American takes on the British accent, Skepta quickly shifts into full gear, dropping assertive bars while waving the Union Jack high. The second verse takes direct aim at Joyner Lucas, who recently entered the debate uninvited.
While “Friendly Fire” carries competitive energy and sharp wit, it feels more like a prelude than a peak—a necessary ignition, but not the full blaze. Still, if this is Skepta warming up, we’re all ears for what’s next. –PB
Rob49 – ‘Let Me Fly (Deluxe)’
Image Credit: © 2025 Rebel/Geffen Records The deluxe edition of Let Me Fly finds Rob49 elevating an already solid release with a batch of new tracks that feel more like essential pieces than bonus material.
The acapella freestyle interlude “@moskinoe (With Moskino)” adds raw, unfiltered energy, while “Trench Baby” featuring G Herbo is a gritty standout that picks up where the pair left on their recent collab “WTHelly (Remix).”
“Pink Molly” with YTB Fatt and Loe Shimmy brings a sinister bounce, and “Stripper Lives Matter” shows love and reverence to the pole shakers and money makers . Rob49 proves he’s not just maintaining momentum—he’s amplifying it. – Preezy Brown
Boldy James, Nicholas Craven – ‘Late To My Own Funeral’
Image Credit: ℗ 2025 Nicholas Craven Productions Boldy James and Nicholas Craven reconnect on Late to My Own Funeral, and once again, their chemistry proves undeniable.
Craven’s production is steeped in texture—from the hypnotic vocal loop and breezy groove of “Spider Webbing Windshields” to the synth-laced, ’80s-tinged backdrop of “Antonio Tuttle.” Boldy continues his streak of cleverly titled tracks (see: “David Wesson” and “Cordon Bleau”) that carry weight and wit in equal measure.
With soulful horns on “Cordon Bleau” and gritty narratives on “At&T,” this project is another satisfying entry in Boldy’s ever-consistent catalog. It’s clear he’s not just keeping pace—he’s setting it. And as always, we’re already eager for whatever’s next. – PB
Lil Yachty – “Wont Diss You”

2 Chainz – “I Wanna Win”
Image Credit: 2025 Gamebread, LLC / EMPIRE 2 Chainz is years and millions into his career, but he is still focused on achieving. “I Wanna Win” is as much a mantra for him as it is a contribution to the Red Clay short film.
Tity Boi’s flows are sharp and precise, and though there is a serious tone to his vocals, he still utilizes his signature humorous lines when discussing sexual matters with women.
Chainz had some people questioning if he still had it, and “I Wanna Win” is a firm statement that he can’t be counted out just yet. When his back is against the wall and time is working against him, he can still bust out a statement performance. – AS
Babyface Ray – “Netflix & Chill’
Image Credit: 2025 Wavy Gang / EMPIRE One might raise an eyebrow at a song titled “Netflix & Chill” in 2025. Fortunately, Babyface Ray wasn’t concerned about letting a show watch him be romantic with a partner because he admittedly didn’t want to get emotional with anyone.
Instead, he is focused on his grind and overcoming all of his obstacles. The production is Detroit through and through, and he raps well. It would’ve been nicer to hear a more excited version of Ray or even a vocal crescendo.
This record is pretty linear, which wears out its welcome around the two-minute mark of an almost four-minute song. – AS

Maxo Kream – “Cracc At 15”
Image Credit: 2025 Persona Money Gang/stomp down Maxo Kream and Tyler, The Creator linked up once again for the southern-tinged, car-test-ready “Cracc At 15.”
One of Kream’s biggest strengths has always been his endless arsenal of flows, and he employs a few different ones over this classic beat that sounds like something Pharrell would make in his prime.
And the authenticity is evident, with the Houston rapper reflecting on his hustle while playing with Pokemon cards and Yu-Gi-Oh.
The hook is incredibly catchy, something that rappers take a while to master yet Kream has always had a knack for it. “Cracc At 15” is some of his best work of the last few years. – AS

June Freedom – ‘Casa Mira Mar’
Image Credit: 2025 Flight Club Music Group / EMPIRE You couldn’t put June Freedom into a box even if he was sitting inside one. His new project Casa Mira Mar fully displays his ability to blend smooth vocals, immersive beats, and a variety of genres.
Right from the opener, “Are You Still You?” featuring Cheque, it is clear the listener will be taken on a whirlwind sonic journey in all of the best ways.
“Options” featuring SABRI is primed for a shaku shaku or a slow whine from a seductive woman; you literally have options for how you can enjoy this record, and the project overall.
Freedom couldn’t be more aptly named, because his music continually shows the power of having no limits. – AS
