As anyone who’s serious about playing acoustic guitar knows, no matter how good the guitar, it can sound rather bland in certain environments. As a result, players have resorted to bringing a small amp and a pedalboard to a gig in order to inject more life into the sound. You might want to rethink that if that’s you, because the new ToneWoodAmp 2 acoustic guitar effects processor does all that for you without the need for a pedalboard.

ToneWoodAmp 2 is a device that mounts onto the back of the guitar and magically adds a host of effects like reverb, delay, chorus, flanger, tremolo, and vibrato, all without the need for an amp or pedals. Yes, the sounds come right out the acoustic guitar as naturally as can be.
This is done via vibrating the back of the guitar body so it acts like a speaker. The result is the effects coming out of the sound hole at the front of the guitar.
New Features
Not only that, the device can also has an output so it can be fed either into an amp or PA system. It then turns into a preamp with additional features like a mixer with wet/dry blend, a 3-band EQ with a notch filter, a compressor, phase inversion, and a boost switch.
As the name implies ToneWoodAmp 2 is actually the second edition of the device. The difference is that version 2 is smaller and has a more contoured design, and can now be controlled from a phone app. The latest version is also powered via an internal battery that is recharged via USB-C power.
