Joey Bada$$ had his take on the West Coast takeover in Hip-Hop in the past 12 months on ‘The Ruler’s Back‘, where he declared there was “too much West Coast d*ck licking”. A few rappers had their responses, including Ray Vaughn who dropped ‘Crashout Heritage’ over Kendrick Lamar’s ‘the heart pt. 6’.
Yesterday, Joey Bada$$ reignited the flame a little when he, Ab-Soul and Big Sean had their Red Bull freestyle, which was a lot of fun. It was filmed a couple of months ago, which is why it felt a little out of nowhere.
Today, Ray Vaughn has more to say. He drops a diss track called ‘Hoe Era’ where he goes at Joey a lot more aggressively than before, taking shots at CJ Fly too, who dissed Vaughn on ‘HIYU Freestyle’. Check it out below. This is great; hopefully we get some fun diss tracks out of the situation.
