You can now save 89% on IK Multimedia’s TOTAL Guitar MAX as part of a limited-time deal at Plugin Boutique.
It’s the closest we’ll ever get to playing a plugin version of Supermarket Sweep; running through the store, piling products into a shopping trolley before time runs out.
Luckily, Plugin Boutique is a consistent source of discounts, and there’s another chance to save big on IK Multimedia products this month.
Plugin Boutique is offering a massive 89% discount on TOTAL Guitar MAX, a collection of instruments, amp sims, and effects.
Additionally, if you buy the TOTAL Guitar MAX bundle, you’ll get a choice of five products as a free gift:
- Melodyne 5 Essential
- Loopcloud 3-month Artist Plan
- u-he Twangström
- Karanyi Sounds Matra
- Safari Audio Hawk Phaser
Despite the name, TOTAL Guitar MAX isn’t restricted to guitar-based products specifically; it’s a collection of everything you need to get the perfect guitar tone and build a rhythm section around it.
The bundle includes:
- Amplitube 5 MAX
- TONEX SE
- MODO Bass 2
- MODO Drums 1.5
- TONEX – Metal Gems
- TONEX – Boutique Overdrives
- TONEX – Signature Bass Collection
As always with huge bundles, the list price can be an instant turn-off, but the only question we need to ask is this: “Is it worth $99.99?”
The answer is a resounding yes, and although I’m an IK Multimedia fan, I think anyone would struggle to argue that getting everything above for less than $100 is a bad deal.
When you add in the free gift, it’s even better.
As I’ve said before, I’m no guitarist; I have Amplitube, and it’s a good option for me because buying expensive amps/cabs would be wasted on my playing ability. Having the closest thing in software form lets me handle the simpler guitar parts by myself, without drafting in a real guitarist.
I haven’t used TONEX as much, but there’s so much content to explore there.
I’ve read mixed reviews of both MODO Bass and MODO Drum, but I really like them.
Both products offer fairly deep customization of the selected instruments and playing techniques. With a little work, you can get very realistic performances from each of them.
MODO Bass, for me, is particularly enjoyable to play with, and it saves me from threatening to pick up my bass unless I really need to.
As I said, at full price, it’s a tough ask for most of us, but with the discount, it’s a solid buy.
