The new Serato DJ 4.0 library was premiered at the brand’s latest community event – Playlist Retreat, a workshop for high-profile DJ talent hosted at the legendary DJ Jazzy Jeff’s home in Delaware. Attendees received an in-depth walkthrough from Serato staff. As many of the updates stem directly from common user requests, attendees were excited to see their feedback reflected in the new library.
Two-time GRAMMY-nominated producer and DJ Scram Jones shared with Serato staff at Playlist Retreat that he is “excited that we’ll be able to search through the crates without having to get out of the crates. The organisation, the alphabetical, we’re always looking through random crates and it’s always a mission on the fly. I like the emojis you can put next to it to highlight it even more. The crate organisation is definitely going to be helpful, for sure.”
Quinnette, another Playlist Retreat attendee and long-time Serato DJ user shared “Infinite gratitude to the Serato family for listening to our feedback, I’m very excited about the search all feature and being able to search within the crate and then look for new searches that aren’t in that same crate, and then going back to that crate. Everything down to the t of what we usually have a need for, they really fixed it and I appreciate that.”
