For many years we knew that there was a demo somewhere for a Prince and Kylie Minogue collab that didn’t happen in the form we wanted to.”Baby Doll” is an unreleased track recorded in late April – early May 1992 at Sydney.The lyrics were written by Australian pop singer Kylie Minogue and the track was intended for her. The song is listed here as a “Prince and the New Power Generation” track, as Kylie Minogue did not re-recorded it and the only version that is known to exist is by the full band with Prince on lead vocals.. Apparently, this recording of “Baby Doll” was supposed to be included on a 2022 archival compilation that the Prince Estate axed for some reason. It has that bit of disco flair that Minogue was cranking out on her own records around the same time.Well that song leaked online and with great pleasure is here for all you Purple one fans.
