The Cure are releasing “Mixes of a Lost World”, the remix companion to last year’s great “Songs of a Lost World”, on June 13 and this is the final track and probably the best one before it’s release. The original is one of the heaviest, most searing songs on the album but in Avery’s hands it’s still heavy, but he makes it a serious dancefloor banger by bringing the funk elements that were there under all those guitars to the forefront and adding clubby beats and his signature atmospheric style.This awesome rework is probably one of the best releases this week in every aspect.
