Sonarworks is excited to announce that the integration of SoundID Reference, the award-winning calibration software trusted by over 300,000 studios worldwide, now extends to ADAM Audio’s new Sub8 PRO and Sub10 PRO subwoofers. Launching today alongside ADAM Control – ADAM Audio’s new management and calibration platform – the Sub PRO models join the A Series studio monitors with built-in SoundID Reference support, bringing accurate calibration directly into the full monitoring system, from the mid and high frequencies down to the lowest octave.
Like the award-winning A Series, the Sub8 PRO and Sub10 PRO connect over Ethernet to ADAM Control, the free successor to A Control. From there, advanced filters created in SoundID Reference are deployed straight to the DSP embedded in each device. Calibration runs on the speakers themselves, so there is no correction plug-in to bypass before printing and no extra processing in the computer’s signal chain. ADAM Control gives users two calibration paths for stereo and multichannel Sub PRO and A Series systems. They can adjust EQ, gain, phase and delay manually at no additional cost, or use the more automated, measurement-based workflow of SoundID Reference.

The new subwoofers use 8″ and 10″ woofers with fibre-reinforced paper cones, Class D amplification and onboard DSP managing crossovers, filtering and EQ. Bass ports shaped with Finite Element Analysis keep low-frequency output clean at high SPL. Connectivity includes AES3 digital input up to 24-bit/96 kHz, an XLR/TRS combo input and a footswitch bypass for bass management.
