SOUNDRAW has launched Beat the Future, a global beatmaking contest with a $2,500 prize pool and a free trial for its AI-powered music creation platform.

The Tokyo-based developer describes SOUNDRAW as an ethical, artist-first AI music generator, built entirely on original, in-house content. There’s no scraped data.

With this contest, they’re inviting beatmakers, vocalists, and instrumentalists worldwide to show what they can create using SOUNDRAW’s tools.

The idea is simple: generate a sample using SOUNDRAW, flip it however you want—rap, sing, remix, or play over it—and submit a 1-minute track.

First prize gets $2,000 and a year of SOUNDRAW access, while the runner-up scores $500. The top three will all receive annual licenses and a spotlight on SOUNDRAW’s global channels.

There are no fees required to enter. The contest is open to anyone, and SOUNDRAW offers a 30-day free trial with the code BEATSNOW.

Just head to the contest page, create your beat, join the private Instagram group, and submit your track by August 10th. Winners will be announced August 25th.

SOUNDRAW’s workflow is fast and beginner-friendly. You can generate genre-specific tracks in seconds, tweak mood and structure, swap out instruments, mix genres, and even download stems to keep working in your DAW.

Everything you create is royalty-free and safe to use commercially.

It’s a surprisingly fun tool. The stem export feature is especially handy. You can quickly come up with some material for layering your own sounds or chopping up loops. If you’re used to more hands-on production, it’s a nice change of pace and a great sketchpad for ideas.

This contest follows SOUNDRAW’s earlier RAW RAP CHALLENGE series, which gave rappers a chance to shine on On The Radar. With Beat the Future, they’re opening the door even wider, encouraging creativity from all corners of the music community.

Whether you’re curious about AI in music or just want a shot at winning $2,000, this is worth checking out. You’ve got until August 10th to enter, and it won’t cost you a cent if you use the free trial.

SOUNDRAW is compatible with any DAW and runs entirely online—no installation required. For full details, visit SOUNDRAW’s contest page.
