The Vienna Symphonic Library has announced a new subscription-based virtual instrument that delivers the core of the orchestra in two distinct voices for €9.99 EUR per month.
The release accompanies the relaunch of the fully redesigned VSL web shop, which introduces new, more flexible ways to build an instrument palette – including a Rent-to-Own option, the Bundle Boost promotion, and educational discounts for students and educators.
Vienna Essential Orchestra gives music creators the essential instruments of the orchestra – strings, brass, woodwinds, and percussion – in two genuinely distinct voices. The spacious, cinematic Synchron version was captured at the Hollywood-proven Stage A of Vienna Synchron Stage, while the drier, more focused Studio version was recorded at the company’s second studio, the Silent Stage. Rather than one instrument in two flavors, these are separate recordings in different rooms, each with its own character – from wide, room-rich orchestral breadth to close, controlled definition.
With inspiring presets and a ready-to-play design, Vienna Essential Orchestra is made to inspire right out of the box. Users can freely switch between the two versions to suit the moment, whether scoring a first cue or adding orchestral color to pop, rock, or hip-hop productions. For €9.99 a month, it offers an accessible entry into the Vienna sound, with the flexibility to cancel anytime.
The launch of Vienna Essential Orchestra coincides with a complete overhaul of the VSL web shop, rebuilt from the ground up with improved navigation and a redesigned MyVSL area that brings products, licenses, and orders together in one place. Alongside the new shop, the company is introducing several new ways to purchase and access its instruments.
Rent-to-Own allows customers to spread the cost of larger purchases over time. Available for orders of €1,000 EUR or more, the option lets users freely combine products from across the catalog, play everything from day one, and own their libraries outright once all monthly installments are paid.
Bundle Boost rewards customers who buy or complete bundles. Every VSL Bundle already costs less than its individual products combined, and for a limited time, additional savings of up to 40% stack on top – allowing customers to save as much as 52% compared to buying the included products separately.
Educational Discounts support the next generation of composers and producers as well as their teachers.
