Wavea has announced the release of ground-up rebuild of powerful multi-sampler/synthesizer, taking it from a hybrid instrument into a deeper, faster and more expressive sound-design environment.
Flite V2 comes with over 200 new features across synthesis, sampling and sequencing.
Discover 11 new osc shapes, vowel and comb filters, 6 new FX, extra sequencers, MPE compatibility, drawable LFOs, tempo-sync’ed envelopes, full MIDI CC and a radically overhauled modulation workflow—all while keeping Flite V1 presets intact.
Changes in Wavea V2
- Advanced FM engine: 60+ FM parameters, from classic tones into far stranger territory.
- Sequencing: 4 note/parameter sequencers, any parameter assignable to a 32-step sequencer, Euclidean functions, preset pattern modifiers, and note patterns including Persian, Fibonacci and fractal moat.
- MIDI out on sequencers, so Flite can drive hardware and other VSTs.
- Full MPE compatibility.
- Sample import: SoundFonts, DS and other sampler formats in seconds, with one-click auto-looping for complex multi-sample instruments.
- New oscillators, filter types and FX, including a shimmering granular delay.
- Syncable drift and skew for realistic analog-style pitch and distortion degradation.
- Drawable LFOs, overhauled macro assignments, revamped preset browser, drag-and-drop workflow.
- Up to 40% lower CPU.
The update is free for existing users, while new customers can purchase Flite for Windows and macOS (VST3/AU) for $69.99 USD until October 4th, 2026 (regular $99.99 USD). The offer is available at Plugin Boutique and from the Wavea store.
