Waves Audio has launched the Free Plugin Pack, bundling nine free plugins and virtual instruments into one convenient download.

Waves Audio Free Plugin Pack is available for Windows and macOS users.

While most of the included plugins were available for free on previous occasions, this is the first time they’ve been packaged together. And even if you already own some of these, you’ll get the latest versions for free.

Speaking of versions, I was pleasantly surprised to see that Waves is offering future updates for these plugins for free. Usually, Waves’ update policy requires you to pay for plugin updates through their Waves Update Plan, so getting gratis updates for this bundle is pretty cool.

The product page states, “100% free, with future updates included,” so it’s likely that owners of the free licenses will also receive future updates at no additional cost.

The bundle includes a mix of audio effects and instruments, ranging from classic mixing utilities to creative sound design tools.

My personal favorite from the pack is Lil Tube, a saturation plugin that’s both simple and practical. It’s great for adding tube-style warmth and harmonic richness to just about anything. I still find myself reaching for it regularly in my sound design sessions.

Another highlight is Flow Motion FM Synth. If you don’t already own an FM synth, this one’s a solid introduction to the world of frequency modulation synthesis. It combines the flexibility of FM synthesis with a user-friendly modulation matrix and a large preset library, making it easy to dive in even if FM isn’t your usual playground.

Here’s the full list of included plugins:

  • Lil Tube – Analog-style tube saturation.
  • IR Live Convolution Reverb – Convolution reverb based on real-world spaces.
  • V-EQ3 – A musical three-band vintage EQ.
  • V-Comp – A classic compressor modeled after vintage hardware.
  • GTR Solo – Pedal-style effects for guitars and more.
  • AudioTrack – An all-in-one channel strip with EQ, comp, and gate.
  • Flow Motion – A hybrid FM synthesizer with an intuitive interface.
  • StudioVerse Audio Effects & Instruments – Ready-to-use plugin chains designed by top producers.

All plugins come with StudioVerse support, meaning you can load curated FX chains made by professionals to get instant results.

The Free Plugin Pack is available now for Windows and macOS in VST, VST3, AU, and AAX formats. You’ll need a Waves account and the Waves Central app to install the plugins. Just sign in, download, and you’re ready to go.
