UK emcee Wild Samson recently dropped his HERO’S DAY EP, produced by New York-based Statik Selektah, via Nyark Music
Wild Samson is back and hot on the heels of his debut album ‘Iceberg Mandalorian’ comes a brand new five-track EP that is produced entirely by U.S. Hip Hop legend Statik Selektah. This heavy-hitting release from Wild Samson is a display of his open-minded approach to music with every single track being an absolute killer. Over the last few years, we have seen Wild Samson drop ten solo EPs, an album, and a collaborative EP with label mate Hazz. The work rate is immense and there are no plans to slow down, giving us ‘Hero’s Day’ to keep us going as he puts the finishing touches to his second album. Statik Selektah is one of Hip Hop’s most consistent producers in the game releasing collaborative projects with the likes of Action Bronson, Freddie Gibbs, Bun B, Kxng Crooked, Saigon, Freeway, Paul Wall, Bumpy Knuckles, Termanology and others, as well as producing for Nas, Raekwon, KRS-One, O.C, AZ, G-Unit, Obie Trice, Sean Price, Foxy Brown, M.O.P, Styles P and many others. His weekly radio show on Shade 45 Sirius/XM New York City is one of the most listened-to Hip Hop shows on air right now and has been going since 2005.
The EP kicks off with the video track ‘Slick Rick’ which sees Wild Samson flow with ease over a smooth groove. Next up is the title track ‘Hero’s Day’ which sees Wild Samson flow alongside some of the best rappers in the UK. First up is Nyark’s Hazz, followed by legendary London talent Micall Parknsun, and then lastly, we have the Midland’s monster Trademark Blud who has recently dropped his album ‘Tetracyclics’ on vinyl and CD! Nyark regular Airklipz features on the third track ‘Renegade’ and Snowgoons official scratch deejay and all-around top dude DJ TMB lays down some killer cuts on the next track ‘Golden Gloves’. The EP is wrapped up with a feature from South London artist D7 on the awesome joint ‘Ivan Drago’. With the swag and flow of Wild Samson and the tight musical production from Statik Selektah, this project is a match made in heaven. From the UK to the USA, music has no boundaries…
