Global talent agency WME has signed Mexican singer and songwriter Carín León for representation across all areas.
The deal was led by Kirk M. Sommer, WME’s Global Co-Head of Music, who will oversee the strategy to expand León’s presence beyond his core markets.
Sommer and León’s longtime manager Jorge Juarez said the partnership is intended to accelerate the artist’s growth in new international territories.
Juarez commented: “We are thrilled to join the WME team led by Kirk Sommer. Carín has tremendous potential to expand into other global territories. We are looking to WME to lead the way in all areas of their expertise.”
León, a five-time Grammy and Latin Grammy winner, has become one of the most commercially potent figures in Regional Mexican music. Earlier this year, he set an attendance record at RODEOHOUSTON with more than 70,000 fans, and in 2024 became the first Latin artist to perform at both Coachella and Stagecoach in the same year.
“In his incredible career, he has consistently broken barriers and transcended genres.”

In 2025, León is slated to become the first Latin artist to perform at The Sphere in Las Vegas, with seven shows planned.
León’s most recent album, Palabra De To’s (Seca), won Best Contemporary Mexican Music Album at the 2024 Latin Grammy Awards and is currently nominated for a 2026 Grammy in the newly titled Best Música Mexicana Album category.
“Carín is a generational artist,” said Sommer.
He added: “In his incredible career, he has consistently broken barriers and transcended genres. We are determined to bring the full weight of WME to bear to expand Carín’s fanbase around the world and we are honored to work with both Carín and Jorge.”
Originally from Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico, León began performing at age 15 before releasing his debut album Desvelada con Banda y Mariachi in 2018.
His 2021 LP Inédito debuted atop multiple charts and was named one of Billboard’s 25 Best Latin Albums of the Year. He has also earned nominations at the ASCAP Awards, Premios Lo Nuestro, and multiple Grammy and Latin GRAMMY ceremonies.
“Carín has tremendous potential to expand into other global territories. We are looking to WME to lead the way in all areas of their expertise.”

Last year, León entered into a partnership with Island Records and Virgin Music Group via his label Socios Music. The first release under that structure, Boca Chueca Vol. 1, delivered his strongest first-week debut to date, landing at No. 5 on Billboard’s Regional Mexican Albums chart and No. 8 on its Top Latin Albums chart.
The move marks another high-profile signing overseen by Sommer, who previously spoke to Music Business Worldwide about key moments in his A&R and dealmaking career — including his work shaping WME’s global music strategy.Music Business Worldwide
