Antonio Brown plans to resolve his Miami shooting case with a reduced plea involving the man who disrupted Kendrick Lamar’s halftime show.
Antonio Brown plans to take a plea deal in his Miami attempted murder case that his lawyer says would spare him prison time.
Attorney Mark Eiglarsh says prosecutors have offered to reduce the charge and seek probation, though the new charge and full terms remain undisclosed. Brown has not entered the plea, and a judge has not approved the agreement.
“He is not accepting this agreement because he suddenly agrees with the State’s allegations,” Eiglarsh said in a statement reported by NBC 6. “He is accepting it because the State made him an offer he couldn’t refuse. There is a profound difference between believing you can win a case and deciding that you and your family cannot afford to spend another year, or potentially several years, wearing an ankle monitor and fighting it.”
The case began with a confrontation outside a celebrity boxing event in Miami’s Little Haiti neighborhood in May 2025. Prosecutors allege Brown fired two shots toward Zul-Qarnain Kwame Nantambu, who told investigators a bullet grazed his neck. The gun allegation meant Brown faced a mandatory minimum of 20 years and as many as 30 years if convicted.

Brown pleaded not guilty after U.S. Marshals returned him from Dubai in November 2025. He later asked a judge to dismiss the charge under Florida’s Stand Your Ground law, arguing that he had acted to protect himself.
“I took this case because I passionately believe in Brown’s defense,” Eiglarsh said in an earlier statement reported by AllHipHop. “The actions he was forced to take were solely in self-defense against the alleged victim’s violent behavior. Brown was attacked that night and acted within his legal right to protect himself from an individual who previously committed criminal acts against him.”
Nantambu’s lawyer said Sept. 9 that his client had forgiven Brown and no longer wanted to participate in the prosecution. The lawyer said forgiveness did not lessen the seriousness of what Nantambu says happened in Miami.
As AllHipHop previously reported, Nantambu also disrupted Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl halftime show in February 2025. He was authorized to perform on the field but left his assigned role and displayed a flag bearing the words “Sudan and Free Gaza.” A New Orleans judge later found him guilty of resisting an officer over the protest.
Brown is scheduled to appear in Miami-Dade court Sept. 30 to enter the plea.
