Audio Assault is offering Carntens Greys, a premium guitar amp module for Amp Locker, as a free download for a limited time.
Please note that this is not a standalone amp plugin. Carntens Greys requires Amp Locker, Audio Assault’s amp-sim platform, which lets you load the company’s guitar amp models, cabinets, pedals, and rack effects.
That said, Amp Locker is also free; it’s just an extra piece of kit you need to install to run Carntens Greys.
The process should be familiar if you have grabbed previous Audio Assault giveaways. You basically add Carntens Greys to your cart while it is listed at $0, complete the free checkout, and it gets added to your Audio Assault account. After that, you can use it inside the free Amp Locker software.

I am not a big guitar gear guy, so I can’t tell you much about the exact hardware reference for this one. Audio Assault describes Carntens Greys as based on the Casterns Grace Billy Corgan Signature, with the usual disclaimer that trademarks belong to their owners and are used only to describe tonal characteristics.
The amp is a single-channel design, but not only a clean pedal platform. According to Audio Assault, it ranges from semi-clean tones to high-gain stuff, with a headroom control that changes how the amp breaks up and compresses.
With low gain and low master settings, the headroom control can make the amp break up a little more and feel more compressed, or move in the opposite direction for a less compressed response.
Speaking of visuals, I like how Carntens Greys has the same general Audio Assault amp aesthetic. It looks neat and should fit right into Amp Locker if you already use their other modules.
Amp Locker itself is also free and includes the Prestige 1950 amp, seven FX pedals, seven rack FX, and eleven 3D cabs with adjustable microphones. It is available as a plugin and standalone app for Windows, macOS, and Linux, with optional paid modules or a $5 monthly subscription for broader access.
