Believe-owned distribution company TuneCore has appointed Brian Miller as Chief Business Officer.
According to an announcement on Thursday (April 2), in this role, Miller will oversee all of TuneCore’s global business, “helping develop opportunities for self-releasing artists to move from access to success and lead the company’s continued global expansion”.
Miller has served as Chief Revenue Officer at TuneCore for the last two years. In that role, according to the company, “he drove double-digit revenue growth per year”.
Miller’s appointment follows the departure in January of Andreea Gleeson, the former CEO of TuneCore, who moved to a Strategic Advisor position at parent company Believe.
Last summer, Nicki Shamel was named as Head of TuneCore in the US.
According to TuneCore, with more than 20 years of experience “building and scaling businesses across multiple industries and markets”, Miller has “consistently succeeded launching new ventures, expanding into new markets, and identifying strategic partnerships that accelerate revenue growth and long-term sustainability”.
The press release added: “As Chief Business Officer, Miller will focus on identifying new strategic partnerships, expanding TuneCore’s global presence, and developing initiatives that enhance the company’s services for artists and industry partners alike.”
Prior to joining TuneCore, Miller served in multiple C-level roles across a number of key consumer focused “scale-up” companies where he oversaw business operations, strategy, sales, account management, business development, legal and marketing teams, driving expansion and operational growth across multiple organizations.
“Brian brings a powerful combination of strategic thinking, operational leadership, and partnership expertise.”

“His experience building and scaling businesses, along with his deep understanding of growth strategy, will play a critical role as we continue to expand TuneCore’s global ecosystem and create new opportunities for independent artists.”
“Since joining TuneCore two years ago, one thing has been made abundantly clear: independent artists are the central force shaping the future of the music industry.”

Miller added: “Since joining TuneCore two years ago, one thing has been made abundantly clear: independent artists are the central force shaping the future of the music industry.
“TuneCore has built an incredible platform that empowers artists as they begin to build and grow careers on their own terms while retaining ownership of their rights. I’m excited to step into this new role and lead the team as we continue to grow, launch new partnerships, and expand our services to keep helping artists build sustainable careers.”
TuneCore reported in November that self-releasing artists have earned more than $5 billion via its platform since its founding in 2006.
The platform reported last month that tracks within its ‘Accelerator’ platform have generated 50 billion streams since 2023.Music Business Worldwide
