“Being WOKE is for losers — being Republican is what you want to be,” former President Donald Trump declared in a controversial post on Truth Social today (Aug. 4)
Trump’s rant began when he gave much high praise to actress Sydney Sweeney, a registered Republican, who released an American Eagle campaign with the slogan “Sydney Sweeney has good jeans.” Many felt the latter phrase had racial undertones to it, likening it to the catchphrase “good genes.” In response, Trump called out major brands like Jaguar and Bud Light for running what he deemed “seriously WOKE” ads.
“Being WOKE is for losers, being Republican is what you want to be. Thank you for your attention to this matter!” he wrote.
The 2024 “copy nothing” Jaguar ad showcases various ethnicities of people fashionably dressed as bold statements like: “break moulds” and “live vivid” overlay the screen.
He claimed the aforementioned company’s “woke” decision led to massive financial fallout and leadership changes. “Jaguar did a stupid, and seriously WOKE advertisement, THAT IS A TOTAL DISASTER! The CEO just resigned in disgrace, and the company is in absolute turmoil,” Trump wrote. “Who wants to buy a Jaguar after looking at that disgraceful ad?”
“Shouldn’t they have learned a lesson from Bud Lite which went Woke and essentially destroyed, in a short campaign, the Company,” he added. “The market cap destruction has been unprecedented, with BILLIONS OF DOLLARS SO FOOLISHLY LOST.”

Social media had much to say about his comments, especially African-American citizens. “Lmao what in the actual F**K is going on,” wrote one person as another asked, “why is he still here???”
A third person said, “This embarrassment of a president is so stupid I can’t help but laugh and laugh.”
