Lil Wayne, Grandmaster Flash and Charlamagne Tha God will receive stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame as part of the star-studded Class of 2027.
Hip-Hop will have two more trailblazers permanently etched into Hollywood history after the Hollywood Walk of Fame announced its Class of 2027, with Lil Wayne and Grandmaster Flash among this year’s honorees.
Joseph Saddler, better known as Grandmaster Flash, will receive a star in the Recording category, recognizing his pioneering role in shaping Hip-Hop culture and DJing.
Lil Wayne also earned a coveted spot in the same category, adding another milestone to a Grammy Award-winning, multi-platinum career.
The announcement places the Hip-Hop icons alongside an eclectic group of music legends, including Karol G, David Guetta, the late Waylon Jennings, The Ramones, Marc Shaiman, Sia, Smashing Pumpkins and Linkin Park.

Radio personality Charlamagne Tha God will also receive one of the entertainment industry’s highest public honors. The Breakfast Club co-hostwas selected in the Radio category, marking another major achievement in a career that has expanded from broadcasting into television, publishing and entrepreneurship.
Beyond Hip-Hop, the Class of 2027 features a star-studded lineup across multiple entertainment fields.
In Motion Pictures, honorees include Cheech & Chong, Idris Elba, Sam Elliott, sisters Elle Fanning and Dakota Fanning, who will share a double ceremony, Kate Hudson, Delroy Lindo, Sam Rockwell and Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos.
Television inductees include David Alan Grier, Lisa Kudrow, Bill Lawrence, Pedro Pascal, Adam Scott, Jeff Probst, Keke Palmer and Raven-Symoné.
The Live Theatre and Live Performance category recognizes comedian Jo Koy, singer Nicole Scherzinger and ballet star Roberto Bolle, while NASCAR champion Jimmie Johnson was selected in the Sports Entertainment category.
Although recipients have been announced, ceremony dates have not yet been scheduled. Each honoree has up to two years to arrange their individual star unveiling after accepting the recognition.
