FX-Mechanics has recently released some new audio plugins for Windows, macOS and Linux (VST3, AU and standalone).
- Mango: A modular sound glitcher: audio runs through a chain of step-sequenced lanes (gater, grain, delay, distortion, filter, quantizer), each step carrying its own settings and probabilities, so loops keep mutating instead of repeating.
- Bloom: It turns a single take into a cloud of virtual ones placed around the listener, rendered as stereo or 1st–3rd order ambisonics. A grain mode can be driven by held MIDI notes, turning it into a pitch-locked oscillator bank voicing whatever chord you play.
- ModalDish: A physical model of a plate of arbitrary shape, solved by finite elements: draw an outline, set a boundary condition on each edge, and it becomes a bank of resonant filters you can strike as an instrument or run audio through as an effect.
Additionally, the TeAr polyrhythmic MIDI arpeggiator was recently updated (now at v0.4.2) with version 2 of its pattern language, hexadecimal velocity modifiers, a reworked interface and macOS distribution fixes.
