Moog has just released a pair of all-purpose amplifiers for electronic instruments. Yep, we’re talking synths, keyboards, drum machines, electric guitars, modelling processors – if it’s electric and makes noise, the Moog Model 112 and Model 210 is designed to handle it.

Both the compact Model 112 and larger Model 210 come as premium full-range, flat-response (FRFR) amps. Designed with versatility in mind, the pair of amps come with integrated four-channel mixing and expansive connectivity potential; whether you’re looking for a new amp for your live performance rig or keen to integrate a new amp into a pre-existing studio space, Moog has got you covered.

If you’re looking for a more portable option, the smaller Model 112 might be your best bet. The more compact model comes with a 12-inch woofer and a 1-inch compression driver, with a frequency response of 40Hz–20kHz and 440W RMS of bi-amplified power. It’s a great option for any setting, with a top handle making it easy to shift between the studio, band rehearsals or the stage. This model will set you back by $799.

As for the Moog Model 210, the scale isn’t the only thing that’s been increased. This amp packs a bigger punch, with 550W RMS of power, dual 10-inch woofers and a 1-inch compression driver. The 2.5 way design can sink deep too, reaching all the way down to 35Hz. It’s a strong option for people who will take advantage of its low frequency extension or those with more demanding performance set-ups. It’s a great option for those who prioritise power over portability, and costs $999.

Alongside their connectivity options, both models also allow for Bluetooth streaming, headphone monitoring, and Stereo Link if you’re wanting to set up a two-amplifier stereo system.

But the main perk of both models is how they “preserve” your sound rather than mutate it into anything else. “Every great electronic instrument has its own sonic identity,” Joe Richardson, President at Moog Music, says. “Model 112 and Model 210 were designed to preserve that identity, not colour it.”

“These amplifiers allow the true character of [an] instrument to come through,” he continues. “Musicians work hard to shape their sound. They deserve amplification that delivers it honestly, consistently, and exactly as intended.”

The Model 112 costs $799, while the Model 210 is a slightly higher $999. For more information, head to Moog.
