THR recently released the DeBleed noise gate, and the plugin is currently available at just $50, down from $90, which is a 44% saving.

The plugin is a 64-bit exclusive release available for Windows and macOS.

THR states that DeBleed is not a traditional noise gate but “a noise gate designed to obliterate cymbal bleed.”

“It has been designed from the ground up to remove cymbal bleed effectively while still letting the kick, snare, and toms ring through without affecting their tone,” the developer explained.

THR said that the plugin achieves this “by processing the cymbal frequencies independently from the rest of the kit, cutting out the unwanted cymbal bleed without touching the important parts of the signal.”

The developer hosts 11 audio samples on the product page, where you can hear snare, kick, and toms with bypassed or processed audio.

As THR advertised, DeBleed gets the job done and cleans up the signal nicely while retaining the sound of the original performance.

If you want to hear how DeBleed sounds in other contexts, several user demos are already on YouTube.

The user demos showcase very similar results to the official audio demos.

THR claims that you don’t need more than 10 seconds to get excellent results.

The user demos available online do showcase that engineers can get quite good results in a matter of seconds, if not 10 seconds then certainly well under a minute.

The number of parameters you have available to play with is fairly limited, and the parameters that are there to help you dial in useful results quickly.

The plugin has an audio analyzer, which sets the Threshold and Debleed values automatically, and then you can fine-tune it to taste from there.

There are also individual modes for kick, toms, snare top, and snare bottom.

The THR DeBleed can be activated on up to three devices simultaneously, and the developer offers lifetime updates once it is purchased.

The developer also offers a 15-day, no-questions-asked money-back guarantee if you are unsatisfied with your purchase for any reason.

The THR DeBleed is available on Windows 7 and newer for VST3 and AAX. On macOS, the plugin is available for Catalina 10.15 and newer for VST3, AU, and AAX (Intel and Native M1/2).
