One thing is for sure. Texas this year was the center of music with Ella Langley and now Kacey Musgraves bringing it’s name once more on the spotlight. What made me surprised was the expansion of country music on the other side of the Atlantic this year especially the impact in the Uk. You know i m not a fan of the genre but recently i liked the Zach Bryan with Lana Del Rey duet and this one by Kacey Musgraves has something different.
“Weekend in Texas” finds Grammy-winning country star Kacey Musgraves celebrating her Texan roots with a playful blend of country-pop and traditional Tex-Mex influences. The track combines witty songwriting with mariachi-inspired horns, organ flourishes and a lively, dance-hall atmosphere and that’s what makes it different to my ears.”Weekend in Texas” previews “Middle of Nowhere Vol. 2: Tex Mex Tapes”, a 16-track companion album scheduled for January 15, 2027 a project that further explores the musical and cultural connections between Texas and Mexico, including several Spanish-language performances.Interesting enough to earn it’s place here.
