The Tetris Company is not here for the Trump White House’s disgusting mockery of its iconic game.
Thursday, the Trump White House launched Trump Arcade, which featured blatantly racist clones of iconic games, while ripping off the boot-up sequences from consoles from Nintendo, XBOX, and PlayStation.
One of the games, “Build The Wall,” was a flat-out racist clone of Tetris that is playing off Orange Mussolini’s signature campaign promise to build a wall along the southern border as a means to stop illegal immigration.
The Tetris Company was the first to respond officially after the immediate backlash to Trump Arcade.
“At Tetris we believe in the power of connection and bringing people together, not dividing them,” the holding company, owned jointly by Tetris creator Alexey Pajitnov and businessman Henk Rogers, wrote. “To our fans everywhere, we love you, we see you, and we’re grateful to have you in our community.”
“P.S. The Tetris Company was not involved in the creation of ‘Build the Wall.’ P.P.S. We take copyright infringement very seriously,” the caption for the post read.
While folks are happy the Tetris Company has said something on the matter, they are still calling for them to sue the pants off Donald Trump and his administration.
“I will buy 20 copies of Tetris if y’all sue them,” one user on X (formerly Twitter) wrote.
Now if only SEGA, XBOX, PlayStation, and Nintendo can join in on calling out Trump and threatening to sue. Until that day arrives, you can see more reactions below.
